I am a native of Foshan, born in the 1970s, and the person behind the ceramic brand 'COWRIE Beiqiu.'
The name 'Beiqiu' carries the intention behind the brand: as caring as 'Bei,' as dependable as 'Qiu.' Products should have warmth and understand people; a business should stay grounded and stand firmly over time.
In 2005, after completing my master's degree in e-commerce at the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, I returned to Foshan with an international perspective and entered the ceramic industry. More than twenty years later, I am still deeply committed to it. Early in my career, I worked in polished crystal tiles, once known as the 'Hermes of tiles.' It was a category that demanded extreme sensitivity to color harmony and composition. Speaking with clients from different countries every day and listening carefully to their tastes and sharp feedback trained my eye for tile aesthetics and gradually rooted an international design sensibility in me.
Later, as the market shifted and textured rustic tiles began to rise, I led the team into a new field. We relearned everything, from craftsmanship and glaze surfaces to spatial mood. Was it difficult? Of course. One unexpected challenge followed another. But over time I came to see those setbacks as gifts from time itself, pushing me to grow and reminding the whole team to keep the mindset of apprentices.
After so many years in ceramics, the lesson I hold onto is simple: work with care, treat people with sincerity, and there will always be an answer. Cowrie will continue forward with products that stand the test of time, in return for every person who trusts us.
From product direction and visual design to digital growth and operational delivery, each role strengthens the same brand promise from a different angle.

Our ceramic designers work from a global aesthetic perspective, shaping the style and form language of Cowrie products. In close collaboration with the product team, they create ceramic collections that combine beauty with practicality, giving every series stronger cultural depth and artistic resonance.
This team focuses on tile product strategy across digital platforms, identifying what customers care about most when choosing materials. They coordinate product planning and online distribution while working closely with the imaging team to present each series with clarity, texture, and application context across web channels.
This role is responsible for optimizing the online supply chain for tile categories and executing operational policies inside the logistics center. The team designs and oversees warehouse routines, tracks key performance indicators, and drives continuous improvement to keep fulfillment efficient, accurate, and orderly.

Our digital analysts execute strategies tailored to the tile business, focusing on online promotion, conversion, brand visibility, and customer acquisition. By identifying digital growth opportunities across retail and interior applications, they help refine operating decisions and support sustainable online growth.

The product owner connects the tile business, user experience design, and software development teams. By coordinating across functions, this role keeps product-related work aligned, efficient, and moving forward with clarity.
